GERMANY

Cruise ship access to Germany’s northern coastline is possible from both the North Sea to the left, or the Baltic Sea to the right. From the Baltic side, the ports of Kiel and Warnemunde give you a great starting point for your German travels. Both places are pleasant to spend time in and have various points of interest, however both also provide a launching pad to explore more of what northern Germany has to offer.

From Kiel, you can make your way to Hamburg, or for a truly unique day trip, you can also take the train to Lubeck. Port calls into Warnemunde and/or Rostock are often longer day visits, and sometimes overnight calls, due to the ability to make the 3 hour journey south to visit Berlin, the nations capital.
