PARINTINS
Parintins is located on the far eastern portion of the Brazilian state Amazonas, and is home to around 115,000 people. The remote town serves as a point for agricultural production, but it’s also famous for the Boi-Bumba Festival, which is an extravagant dance and music pageant that takes place every June.
The town is quite small, but there are a few points of interest to visit. There is a new cathedral, which can be seen from the ship. Then pay a visit to Cristo Redentor Square—a sprawling pavilion that is often filled with food and souvenir stalls. For a taste of local life, wander through the stalls at the municipal market.
Parintis is a small port that’s perfect for taking it easy and resting up. Enjoy!
