KOMODO ISLAND

A visit to Komodo Island via cruise ship has one purpose: to see the Komodo National Park. The most common tour is a walking tour to see the Komodo Dragons. However, you also can see the Pink Beach or Kampung Komodo, a hidden area where the villagers of Komodo reside.

Visiting Komodo is for service calls only. By National Park Law, you are only able to leave your ship if you are on a tour, whether it be through the ship or privately organised. If you do book a private tour, you must present confirmation.

Komodo Island is a tender port, and upon arrival you will walk down an old wooden pier to meet the tour guides.

Keep your wits about you, Komodo Dragons come right up along the beach and even into the welcome square. Don’t worry, your tour guide will use wooden sticks to keep them away!
