HUALIEN

Hualien lies on the eastern coast of Taiwan, and it is the island’s 8th largest city with a population of 110,000 people. The downtown district is 2 mi/ 3km from the cruise port. There you will find museums and an extensive market with food, clothes, and everything in between. For nature lovers, head to the Taroko National Park and Gorge, which is located 12 mi/ 18 km north of the city. Travelers from around the world come to marvel at the gorge's natural beauty, and there are options for adventure seekers who love hiking as well as those who want a peaceful stroll through nature. Your cruise line will likely offer a tour here, and there are also taxis drivers available for hire at the port if you wish to go on your own.
