BIMINI, Bahamas

A relatively new port on cruise itineraries in this part of the world, Bimini welcomed it’s first passenger-filled cruise ship in July 2021.

Once you arrive, you’ll make your way down to the pier, where if you aren’t on an organized ships shore excursion, you’ll notice a series of trolley trams offering you complimentary transport. These trams are owned by Resorts World, which occupies a large presence to the left outside the port area. They will take you to the various parts of their resort, such as the beach club, the spa, or the casino.

If you wish to walk about of the port gate yourself, you are more than welcome to do so. You’ll cross over a bridge, and keep your eyes peeled, sometimes you’ll see sharks right off the pier!

Outside of the Resorts World complex, development on the island itself is fairly low, and many of the highlight ways to spend the day revolve around beach days, or getting in, or on the water, for various activities.

If you wish to just get out and explore, one of the guest favorite activities here is to rent golf carts from across the road from the port in a place called Fishermans Village, where you can explore the island on your own in this pretty unique and fun way!
